A new report suggests that Apple might finally release an iPhone flip phone in 2026. Previously, we shared that according to 9to5Mac, Apple is getting serious about foldable devices.
Analyst Jeff Pu also said that Apple will start making a foldable iPhone in 2026.
Apple’s iPhone Flip is expected to be a flip phone, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series. The 2026 launch fits Apple’s usual two-year cycle for new iPhones.

The foldable display might come from Samsung Display, which already supplies OLED panels for current iPhones. The unfolded size is expected to be similar to existing iPhones in length and width, offering a larger display while staying pocketable when closed.
Apple is also reportedly working on a 20.3-inch foldable MacBook, possibly launching in 2027.
Are they late to the trend, or are they just making sure everything is perfect before release? What we are sure of is Apple fans will have to wait for Cupertino’s take on this technology.
