So far, Apple has only made available the high-refresh-rate screens on its Pro iPhones. Now, a leak has surfaced revealing that the entire iPhone 17 lineup will get higher refresh screens.
It was already long overdue for Apple to incorporate higher refresh rates into its base models. Even budget Android smartphones are now using 90Hz to 120Hz refresh rates.
This can change because, according to a report, the entire iPhone 17 series will come with the ProMotion feature. To recap, the ProMotion feature is Apple’s term for its higher refresh rate displays. This may offer a smooth screen experience to its users.
However, it was not specified if the higher refresh rate mentioned will be 90Hz or 120Hz just like its Pro siblings which can seamlessly change between 1-120Hz depending on the situation. Regardless, it is still an upgrade from being stuck with a base 60Hz refresh rate.
The iPhone 17 series is expected to arrive in September 2025.
