Leaks have now surfaced regarding MediaTek’s next flagship processor—the MediaTek Dimensity 9500. It will be the successor to this year’s Dimensity 9400 launched back in October.
MediaTek will reportedly not use its 1+3+4 formation all-big CPU core architecture that started with the Dimensity 9300 back in 2023.
According to renowned leaker Digital Chat Station, the company will use a 2+6 CPU architecture with 2x Cortex-X930 “Travis” prime cores and 6x Cortex-A730 “Gelas” performance cores. This architecture was used in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.
The prime CPU of the Dimensity 9500 will offer a peak clock speed of up to 4GHz. It will be built on TSMC’s N3P process (3nm), which will significantly power efficiency. Additionally, the chip will incorporate ARM’s Scalable Matrix Extension (SME) which will improve multi-thread performance.
The Dimensity 9500 is expected to debut in around the same timeframe as the Dimensity 9400, which is around October.
Further details are yet to be revealed, so stay tuned for more updates.
