Because of the new Apple Intelligence feature in iOS 18, Apple is now considering a minimum of 8GB of RAM for this new feature. That’s why other iPhone models with less than the required RAM will not get the new Apple Intelligence feature.
Kuo also said that the main selling point of the iPhone 17 pro Max is the enhanced on-device AI capabilities.
Additionally, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will also feature an upgraded cooling system combining vapor chamber technology and graphite sheets, while the other iPhone models will only use graphite sheets for thermal management.
The report also highlighted that nearly 40-percent of the new model shipments currently accounts to the Pro Max models. This makes them a significant driver f Apple’s revenue and profit. Thus, providing the highest specifications for the Pro Max, not only a larger display than the Pro models, is a strategy that is expected to continue.
