Another smartwatch has been announced by Huawei, aside from the Watch GT2. With a cheaper price tag and sportier look, the Watch GT 2e can be bought for €199(~P11K) with more fitness trackers and up to 14 days worth of battery life. Availability of the said smart wearable will start in Europe around April. The GT 2e comes in Black Stainless Steel and Stainless Steel which can be paired with these straps — Black Fluoroelastomer, Red & Black TPU, Green & Black TPU, and White Fluoroelastomer.
Huawei Watch GT 2e weighs nearly similar to the Watch GT 2 at 43g, without the strap. The case is made of metal and plastic, too, which contributes to the overall weight. The screen size is 1.39″ with punchy AMOLED in 454 x 454 resolution. It seems like GT 2e doesn’t carry the latest Kirin A1 wearable chipset, however, it still supports the latest Bluetooth 5.1 version. Being a fitness-first tracker, you can track a total of 100 types of workout which is broken down to 15 professional workouts and 85 customized workouts. The Sp02 sensor is present to measure your oxygen levels in the blood, as well as 4GB onboard storage for storing music. For the rest of the sensors, GT 2e comes with an accelerometer sensor gyroscope, geomagnetic, optical heart rate, ambient light, air pressure, and capacitive sensor. Yes, the 5ATM rating means it can handle swimming and showering.
