After being teased for quite a few times, OPPO Watch is finally official. If you’re looking for an Apple Watch Series 5 for Android, look no further than OPPO’s first smartwatch ever. The Watch comes in 41mm and 46mm sizes. The smaller version, which is available in elegant black, rose gold and fog silver colors, is priced at CNY 1499(~P10,900). While the bigger model which features a stainless steel case, ceramic bottom, sapphire glass, and leather band costs CNY 2499(~P18K).
OPPO Watch features AMOLED screen which provides vibrant colors while conserving battery life. Additionally, the 46mm version has a curved screen for a more premium look. Like most wearables today, there’s 50-meter water resistance here. Spec-wise, the smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 2500 & Apollo 3 for a dual-processor setup. That’s already paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. As for batteries, the 41mm can last up to 14 days in long-battery mode and up to 20 hours of regular usage. While the 46mm can last up to 21 days and up to 40 hours, respectively. OPPO is also bringing its fast charging technology from smartphones to wearables. Both models feature VOOC flash charging that allows for 0-50% in 17 minutes. If you want functionalities beyond checking time and notification, OPPO Watch supports eSIM for 4G/LTE. This also means you can use the speakers and the microphone for calling. Last but not least is NFC for payment.
OPPO’s first smartwatch has been announced in China. There’s no word yet when it’ll be available — same goes for the global release.
