
HUAWEI and Chery have officially launched the Luxeed R7, a new extended-range electric vehicle (EREV), under their joint venture through the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA).
This Luxeed R7 EREV SUV is available in Luxeed R7 Max and Luxeed R7 Ultra. Both are built on HUAWEI‘s Jujing 400V platform with a 1.5L four-cylinder range extender, and a 53.4kWh LFP battery from CATL.
However, the Max variant with rear-wheel drive (RWD) and a single motor and up to 1,673 km. Meanwhile, the ultra comes with an all-wheel drive (AWD), dual motors, 510 hp power, and up to 1,551 km range.
The R7 Max can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 7.4 seconds, while the Ultra does in 4.9 seconds.
Also, the Luxeed R7 supports fast charging, with 20% to 80% charge possible in just 15 minutes using HUAWEI’s Jujing 400V platform.
Inside, it features a 52L front trunk, a spacious rear cargo area (up to 2130L), and a premium co-pilot seat with multiple comfort features.
For entertainment, there’s a 17-speaker HUAWEI-branded audio system. Tech-wise, the R7 includes HUAWEI’s Qiankun ADS 3.0 with LiDAR, radars, cameras, and sensors for city and highway NOA (navigation on autopilot) and automated parking.
It runs HarmonyOS 4 on a 15.6-inch main screen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. OTA updates are also supported.
The Luxeed R7 Max is priced at RMB 299,800 (around PHP2.3M), while the Luxeed R7 Ultra costs for RMB 319,800 (about PHP2.5M).
