According to Business Korea, Apple is set to launch its first foldable iPhone in the second half of 2026
For its display, the iPhone Foldable will feature OLED panels exclusively from Samsung Display and will feature a 7.8-inch screen, similar to the iPad mini, and a 5.5-inch external screen.
The reason Samsung is being chosen over other display suppliers like LG Display and BOE is because its foldable screens have fewer or less visible creases when folded.
Samsung is expected to begin large-scale panel supply either by the end of 2025 or early 2026.
The final number of units Apple plans to produce has not been confirmed, but industry estimates suggest it could go beyond 15 million units annually, up from the initial projection of 9 million.
The foldable iPhone is expected to be priced around USD2,000 (around PHP113,999). The device is expected to attract buyers in North America.
