The latest thin & light laptop to arrive this year in the Philippines is the Huawei MateBook D 15. It’s priced at P37,990 for the 8GB DDR4/256GB SSD with 1TB HDD model. It features a larger 15.6″ IPS FHD screen but with very thin bezels. Powering the device is AMD Ryzen 5 3500U Mobile CPU paired with Radeon Vega 8 graphics card. The design takes inspiration from Macbook Pro with the all-aluminum chassis and chicklet-style keyboard in Mystic Silver and Space Grey colors. There’s also a relatively large trackpad that uses Windows 10 Precision Drivers. Speaking of software, the device is compatible with Huawei Share. Last but not least is the camera that’s tucked away like the MateBook X Pro 2019.
Available via Silicon Valley, Abenson, Lazada, and Shopee, pre-ordering the MateBook D 15 will get you the following freebies: Huawei T3 8″ tablet, backpack, and mouse. The latest laptop is competitively priced for the mid-range market. Hopefully, we can get a chance to test out the bang-for-the-buck beast very soon.
