How Do You Propose a New Time for An Event?

Guests can suggest a new time for an event using Google Calendar. You might provide a new event time till the meeting has more than 200 attendees and is expected to last the full day. Furthermore, if you are the event organizer, you are not permitted to recommend a different time for the event.

If you got an email invitation to a Google Calendar event, you may suggest a different event time by selecting the More Options option in the invitation email. This will take you to Google Calendar, where you may change the time.

The time proposal tool is accessible in all versions of Google Calendar. We’ve included the processes for proposing a new time for each version in this section. Follow the instructions for the device you’re using.

On Web Version

If you’re a desktop user, we recommend using Google Calendar’s online version. To suggest a new time for an event via the online version of Google Calendar, use your choice browser and follow these steps:

1.Log in to Google Calendar using your Google account credentials.

How to Accept the New Proposed Time from the Organizer?

As an organizer, you have two options for accepting the proposed time: Google Calendar or email. Multiple visitors can submit you fresh proposed dates and times using Google Calendar. However, using email, you must manually verify the guest proposals on different days.

If an organizer does not get an email about a rescheduling request, it is sometimes advisable to manually go through the calendar to assess proposals.

Through Google Calendar

This option is useful if you have received many requests to change the date and time of the event. You can go through all of the proposed timings and decide which one is ideal for the event.

Accept suggestions from both Desktop and Mobile. Follow the instructions according to the device you will be using:

On Desktop

4.Review the proposed time from the sidebar.

5.Click the Save button to accept the proposal.
6.If you want, use the pop-up to alert guests about the rescheduling, then click Send. If you do not, choose Don’t send.

On Mobile

1.Sign in with your credentials after opening the Google Calendar app on mobile.

2.Choose the event with the clock symbol.

3.You’ll be sent to a new page. This page will provide updated planned times for guests.
4.Select Review proposed time.

5.To accept the proposal, tap on the tick on the bottom right of the screen.

6.On the upper right, press the blue Save button. The modify event option will appear.

7.If you want to notify other members of the change, pick Send; otherwise, tap Don’t send.

Through Gmail

You may also use Gmail to review and approve the proposed time. When a user suggests a time, you will also get the request by email to your Gmail account. The processes for accepting the suggested time are the same for both the online and app versions of Gmail.

To accept the recommended time from Gmail, follow these steps:

1.Sign in to your Gmail account using Gmail or the Gmail app.
2.Select the email with the proposed new time in the Inbox: (event name).

3.Select the Accept box.
