We’re back with another gaming review, and this time, we’re testing the gaming capabilities of the HONOR X7d.
This device is a budget-friendly smartphone, so we’re expecting decent performance in competitive titles. As usual, we’ll be testing six games in this review, read on to find out the results!

The default graphics settings are on Custom, with most options set to Medium. We maxed out everything to see how it performs.
In the main menu, there were some noticeable frame drops due to visual clutter. However, once in a match, the gameplay was smooth and consistent at 60 FPS, with no visible drops or stuttering. Even after multiple matches, there was no thermal throttling or slowdown.

Result: Max settings – consistent 60 FPS.

By default, the settings were at Quality Preset with 30 FPS. We switched to Custom and maxed out all available options.
Performance-wise, Wild Rift felt heavier than Mobile Legends. The main menu was slightly sluggish, and the opening animation had several stutters. During gameplay, frame drops were more frequent, especially during team fights. It’s playable, but competitive players might find it challenging to maintain precision.

Result: Max settings – 36–48 FPS during clashes, 55–60 FPS outside of clashes.

The default graphics were set to Medium, but we bumped the frame rate to High to test responsiveness. Loading times were a bit slow, but gameplay was surprisingly smooth.
Even during gunfights, the frame rate remained consistent with no visible drops or stutter. Aiming and flick shots were accurate and responsive.

Result: Low graphics + High frame rate – 46–50 FPS.

We tested Genshin Impact at Low settings with a 60 FPS cap. During exploration and combat (including a Spiral Abyss floor), performance was fairly smooth.
Character switching and ultimate activations were fluid, though we did encounter a brief freeze during exploration.

Result: Low + 60 FPS – 30–40 FPS in combat, 24–30 FPS in exploration.

With the same Low + 60 FPS setup, performance was rough. The overworld had frequent frame drops, and during combat in Shiyu Defense, the game suffered from major stuttering and occasional freezes.
It’s playable for light tasks like daily missions, but not ideal for intensive content.

Result: Low + 60 FPS – 16–27 FPS in exploration, 9–18 FPS in combat.

Using Low + 60 FPS settings again, the results were similar to Zenless Zone Zero. There were frequent frame drops during combat, which isn’t ideal for a game that relies heavily on timing for dodges and parries.
Exploration was slightly smoother but still had occasional stutters. For this title, we don’t recommend using the HONOR X7d unless you’re fine with very casual play.

Result: Low + 60 FPS – 21–25 FPS in exploration, 9–16 FPS in combat.
The HONOR X7d is priced at PHP 9,999 for the 8GB + 512GB configuration.
For an affordable device, the HONOR X7d delivers acceptable performance in competitive titles like Mobile Legends, Wild Rift, and Call of Duty: Mobile.

However, it struggles with more demanding gacha games, especially HoYoverse titles. If you only plan to do daily missions, it can handle them decently, but for story content or endgame activities, you’ll want a more powerful phone.

Wow this HONOR X7d gaming review is super detailed and helpful! I like how you tested multiple games with different settings it really gives a clear picture of what to expect. It is impressive that budget friendly phones can handle games like Mobile Legends and Call of Duty smoothly. The breakdown for heavier gacha games is also honest. Definitely a useful guide for anyone considering this phone for gaming!
