Honor 80 GT vs. realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition—Specs Comparison

Honor‘s new flagship killer, the Honor 80 GT, was released at the end of 2022, and it was a hit with gamers and power users. That’s right, and you can get your hands on this smartphone with its incredible performance for a reasonable price. In the same vein as this year’s debut of the realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition, which has flagship-level specs. Listed below are some key differences and similarities between the Realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition and the Honor 80 GT. The realme GT 2 Explorer is the winner in comparing designs because it has a unique appearance. In addition to an aluminum frame, you can select a back made of ceramic or eco-friendly leather. In contrast, the Honor 80 GT retains an innovative appearance but cannot match the realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition when it comes to pure visual appeal. If you want the most beautiful phone, you should go for the realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition.

Turning to its display, there isn’t much to choose between these two phones regarding screen quality, but the realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition has the upper hand. It’s an OLED 120Hz display with a full HD+ resolution of 6.7 inches. However, the Honor 80 GT’s 6.67-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display screen also features a 120Hz refresh rate.

Camera & Speakers

The Realme GT 2 Explorer Master Edition comes equipped with superior photographic gear. It includes a 50-megapixel ultrawide shooter, a 3-megapixel microlens that can achieve 40 times magnification and a 50-megapixel primary sensor that is a Sony IMX766 and has optical image stabilization. The primary camera of the Honor 80 GT has a resolution of 54 megapixels. However, it does not have an OIS feature. Additionally, it has an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

Both device don’t have a 3.5mm audio jack, but the realme GT2 Explorer Master has a stereo loudspeaker.

OS, RAM, & Storage

The Honor 80 GT and the realme GT2 Explorer run Android 12, yet the Honor 80 GT’s Magic UI 7 and the GT2 Explorer Master Edition’s realme UI 3.0 provide different user experiences. The finest chipset, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with a 4nm technology and an Adreno 730 GPU, powers both of these smartphones. The Honor 80 GT offers more flexibility in terms of storage and RAM thanks to its 12GB and 16GB RAM choices, while the GT2 Explorer Master Edition provides 8GB and 12GB RAM options. Every one of these devices has 256GB of built-in memory.

When comparing batteries alone, the realme GT2 Explorer Master’s 5000mAh capacity and 100W wired charging are superior. In contrast, the Honor 80 GT packs a 4800mAh battery and supports 66W cable charging. Unlike the GT2 Explorer, the Honor 80 GT supports 5W reverse-wired charging.
