Honda has launched the all-new HR-V 2021 globally and by means of all-new, we’re focusing on the big departure from the previous generation’s exterior.

Called as Honda HR Vezel or HR-V 2021, the new compact SUV drops its well-known grille flanked by the large horizontal line in favor of a sportier grille with a notable skid plate. The positioning and design of both LED headlights and DRL are also new.

Both sides and rear received massive changes and upgrades, respectively. The rear taillight is merged with the stoplight that connects both sides while the overall look is noticeably sharper and prominent.

Personally speaking, the Honda HR-V 2021 looks more premium than the current CR-V and HR-V if we will base it on the SUV styling.

Other aspects of the 2021 HR-V have been upgraded as well like its interior and safety features. Its dashboard is now more streamlined while a new brake assist is also added that will give warnings for inappropriate braking.

There is no mention of a new engine option aside from the hybrid electric for select regions. The current generation Honda HR-V in the Philippines is powered by a 1.8-liter petrol engine that produces 140 HP and 172 Nm torque. There is a possibility that we might see a minor upgrade in terms of power.

Pricing-wise, Honda HR-V is expected to be released at the end of this year in the local market of the Philippines for an estimated P1.3-million base price.
