GoPro has introduced its new MISSION 1 Series, a compact cinematic camera system.
The lineup includes three models, which are the MISSION 1, MISSION 1 Pro, and MISSION 1 Pro ILS.
The Standard and Pro versions utilize a fixed 14mm lens, whereas the Pro ILS supports interchangeable Micro Four Thirds (MFT) lenses.
The cameras feature a new 1-inch sensor designed to capture more light and improve image detail, especially in low-light conditions.
They can also record in 8K open gate at up to 30fps, using a taller 4:3 frame for more flexibility in editing and reframing.
GoPro says the new GP3 processor provides up to twice the pixel processing power, enabling higher resolutions, improved noise reduction, and better overall image quality.
The system also includes a higher-capacity Enduro 2 battery, which is claimed to deliver longer runtimes and improved thermal performance.
Other features include support for 50MP photos and enhanced low-light performance through updated processing algorithms.
On the other hand, pricing and availability details for the GoPro MISSION 1 Series have not yet been announced. Stay tuned.
