Google has announced a new update for its Google AI assistant, Gemini.
According to their post on X, Google has released a native macOS version of Gemini.
The app can now be opened anytime using a keyboard shortcut (Option + Space), allowing Mac users to ask questions or get help without switching between apps.
One key feature is screen sharing. Users can share a window or a local file with Gemini to get context-based responses, such as summaries of charts or documents.

The app also supports tasks like writing, checking information, and generating images or videos within the workflow.
The Gemini app for macOS is now available globally for free on devices running macOS 15 or newer.
