Better Display
According to our review comparison, we found out that the 5.5-incher ZUK Z1 was ba far more advantageous in the display department, in comparison to Redmi Note 3. We were able to determine that picture quality on the ZUK Z1 was more favourable in the color contrast department , as well as color accuracy. The thing that tick us the most on the Redmi Note 3 is its inconsistency on display colour, sometimes turning a bit reddish and sometimes a more colder blueish colour.
Excellent Still Image Shooting
At first we weren’t expecting much difference in the still image outputs of the two, though upon doing further investigation on its images, we were able to determine that the ZUK Z1 sealed the deal in the camera department. In daylight shooting, the ZUK Z1’s HDR capability shined the most against its competitor, thanks to its crisper and overall better daylight outputs, while on low-light, the ZUK Z1 was able to show off its detail-preserving skills better, which is quite unexpected. Unsurprisingly, the 8MP selfie shooter of the ZUK Z1 showcased a better performance than the 5MP selfie shooter of the Redmi Note 3. Overall results point to one conclusion, the ZUK Z1’s camera was overall better in the shooting department.
Superior benchmark ratings
This was pretty much a straight forward victory by the ZUK Z1. Overall benchmark scores all pointed out towards the ZUK Z1’s victory. The ZUK Z1 was able to get a landslide win on two out of three benchmark tests conducted on the devices, however, it seems that they we’re able to at least par up with each other in Geek Bench. This shows that the ZUK Z1 has an overall better system build than the Redmi Note 3.
Top-notch battery performance
On our standard battery test, we were able to conclude that upon continous playback, the ZUK Z1 was able to last up to 14hours, while the Redmi Note 3 was only able to last up until 10hours. On-screen time was also seen to be more favourable ont he ZUK Z1, as well as the charging time. This solidifies the advantage of the ZUK Z1 in the battery deparment and is quite amazing, since they only have a 100mAh capacity difference.
A more favourable sound quality
From our standard speaker test, we were able to determine that the ZUK Z1’s sound outputs were all the more better in quality, volume and clearness. The Redmi Note 3 provided a tinnier output overall and the speaker’s position can be a huge problem. Overall, without a shadow of a doubt, the ZUK Z1 was superior overall in the speaker department.
