In case you missed it, Smart Communications recently announced its partnership with cloud gaming provider Blacknut to make console-level cloud gaming more accessible to Filipinos.

The partnership allows Smart and TNT subscribers to access over 1,000 console games through their mobile devices. This eliminates the need for dedicated gaming hardware or installing large game files, because games are processed on cloud servers and streamed to the player’s device in real time. All users need to do is visit Blacknut’s Smart page using a mobile browser to access the service.
The library includes titles such as NBA 2K, For Honor, Asphalt, Overcooked!, and LEGO games, along with AAA hits, indie favorites, and family-friendly games.
Smart or TNT subscribers can sign up using their mobile number and pay for a weekly subscription starting at PHP 145. This will be charged directly to their prepaid load, and users can start playing instantly after a quick OTP verification.
“Cloud gaming removes the biggest barriers to enjoy console-level gaming at your fingertips — expensive hardware, long downloads, and limited storage. With Blacknut, we’re making high-quality gaming instantly accessible to our millions of subscribers, powered by our award-winning network,” said Lloyd R. Manaloto, FVP and Co-OIC at Smart.
Smart also highlighted that seamless cloud gaming requires a stable network connection and low network latency, citing Ookla’s 2025 data showing Smart’s median latency of 45.88 milliseconds (ms) in the Philippines. The telco has also been recognized for its mobile video performance during the second half of 2025.
