Yesterday, Honor just confirmed that they will launch the Honor X40 Series in China on September 15. Today they also started teasing its features and at the same time, there was a reliable leak. The leaker shared the renders of the phone giving us a glimpse of its design and also revealed some of its specs.

Based on their official teaser, the Honor X40 will be boasting a curved OLED display with a punch-hole cutout in the center. It offers a 10-bit color depth and based on the render that honor shared, it also houses an IR blaster beside its secondary microphone.
On the other hand, Digital Chat station has exposed the design of the device by sharing full-size renders. It showcases the smartphone with a huge camera ring on the back with volume rockers and power keys on the right side.

Despite the huge design, the ring only holds two cameras and an LED flashlight. However, neither the leak nor the brand disclosed any camera specs yet.
According to Digital Chat Station, the phone’s display will boast a 6.8-inch custom-design OLED panel which is supplied by a Chinese display maker.
Its display has curves on all four sides, and it will also offer support for high-frequency PWM dimming. It also has 800 nits of peak brightness and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
This is all the information that we have for the Honor X40 for now. Based on rumors it will be accompanied by Honor X40 Max. This new phablet is said to come with a whopping LCD screen, a dual camera setup, and 40W fast charging support.
