Digital TIN ID

The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has just made life easier for taxpayers by introducing the digital Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) ID. According to the recent announcement, Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. issued Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 120-2023 to share the good news about this addition to the agency’s Online Registration and Update System (ORUS).

The best part? The digital TIN ID is absolutely free! This move is a strategic step by the BIR to combat fixers and scammers who have been selling TINs online. By offering this digital alternative, the BIR also aims to provide taxpayers with a hassle-free way to obtain their TIN without the need to endure long queues at Revenue District Offices. Hitting two birds in one stone!

To get your hands on the digital TIN ID, all you need to do is update your email address at the Revenue District Office where you are registered.

How to Get FREE Digital TIN ID?

Just complete and submit Form S1905 – Registration Update Sheet (RUS) by sending an email to your concerned RDO or through BIR’s eServices-Taxpayer Registration Related Application (TRRA) Portal.

This new initiative not only streamlines the TIN acquisition process but also adds a layer of security and convenience for taxpayers.

Ready to make the switch to the digital TIN ID and say goodbye to the old hassles? It’s time to embrace a smoother tax identification experience!
