Nubia introduced the first Z50 series phone, the Nubia Z50, in China in December 2022. However, the company is also getting ready to release a new model, the Nubia Z50 Ultra, so this won’t be the only smartphone in the line for long.

Nubia Z50 Ultra with 4th gen under-screen camera tech to be announced on March 7

The Z50 Ultra has been seen in a recent live picture, and it has also been seen on TENAA. Now that the phone’s release date is approaching, the company has begun making formal announcements about the device’s appearance, features, and availability. The proper release date of the smartphone is scheduled for March 7th, 2023, at 2 PM Central Standard Time (CST).

Based on the official preview photos, we can see that the smartphone has a boxy shape with highly narrow bezels for its flat display. No elevation is anywhere, including on the rear, and all surfaces are flat. The under-display camera in this smartphone is the most striking feature, as it eliminates the need for a camera gap or punch hole. The phone’s design, in general, is reminiscent of the Red Magic 8 Pro, a new smartphone just released.

The company’s new “Neovision” under-display camera boasts six years of technological refinement, allowing for superior selfies and video chats. BOE helped in the development of the device’s screen. The teaser also indicates that the smartphone will have a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 lens.

Nubia Z50 Ultra specifications are still confidential. Still, we know it will have a 2K display powered by a second-generation display processor, a 5,000mAh battery, and a periscope zoom camera. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the formal debut.
