Canva Unveils New features, Including Canva Offline

Canva recently unveiled new features at Canva Create 2026, including Canva Offline, Learn Grid, Print Shop, and an expanded professional design suite.

According to Canva, the new features are rooted in some of the most requested updates in the company’s history. Each update has been designed to break down barriers, address actual issues, and expand Canva’s potential for a wider audience than ever before.

One of the standout updates is Canva Offline, which allows users to open, edit, and create designs without an internet connection. Users can work with local image files and perform essential editing actions offline. Changes sync automatically the moment the internet connection comes back.

Aside from Canva Offline, the company also expanded its professional design suite. A CanvaBrand System is now inside Affinity (a design app), which allows professional designers to build brand assets like logos and photos, and sync them directly to a Canva Brand Kit. Affinity also got an AI Connector with Claude to automate tedious production tasks like batch editing and print prep.

For studios, professional photographers, and video editors, Cavalry, a motion design tool, has also been made free in Canva. Meanwhile, Affinity’s native .af file type is now supported by both Capture One and DaVinci Resolve, making switching between apps quicker and more seamless without losing quality.

Learn Grid, on the other hand, is a new free feature that serves as a dedicated learning platform for educators inside Canva. Users can use AI to generate classroom activities in over 16 languages. This includes worksheets, interactive games, and graphic organizers that can be used right away. The platform also has multiple resources, allowing teachers to plan and deliver lessons in one place.

Canva has also reimagined its e-commerce experience with the launch of Print Shop, allowing users to browse, design, and place orders for tangible goods without ever stepping away from their creative process. More than 60 new products have been added, including brand-new product categories and premium finishes.

“The best creative tools should be available to everyone, regardless of where they are, what they do, or what they have access to,” the company stated in its official announcement.
