Global technology market analyst firm, Canalys, has released the global top 10 smartphones in Q1 2020. And as you might’ve expected, Apple’s iPhone 11 series continues to be the most popular device in the world. Leading by a huge margin, 18 million units of iPhone 11 was sold for the said quarter alone. The second best-selling device is the Redmi Note 8 & 8T at 8 million units. iPhone 11 Pro managed to crack the top 10 with 4 million units. The bigger sibling which is the iPhone 11 Pro Max is at 6th place with 5 million units sold.
With the arrival of iPhone SE 2020, we expect Apple’s cheapest iOS device to enter the top 10 best-selling phones in Q2 2020. There’s a reason why the iPhone 11 is the number one device right now, and we feel like it’s because of the price tag. When the iPhone 11 series was introduced, the base model was revealed with P47,990 price tag, almost replacing the iPhone XR that’s being sold for P40,990. While the iPhone SE 2020 is a beastly device leaving in an old shell, the majority of the consumers probably won’t mind it if they’re only paying at least P26,490 for an iPhone.
