More banks in the Philippines are removing fees for online money transfers, and BDO Unibank is the latest to do so.

BDO has started offering free transfers through InstaPay and PESONet, according to a notice shown on its mobile banking app.

The bank joins other financial institutions that have recently eliminated transfer charges, including BPI, LandBank, UnionBank, PNB, Metrobank, PSBank, and Security Bank.

On the other hand, digital wallet providers GCash and Maya have also reduced the fees they charge for electronic fund transfers.
