Today we have some important and exciting news to share: Dark Sky has joined Apple. this was their post in their blog post.
This Popular weather app and data-collection service have been acquired by Apple. The post claims that Dark Sky will now “reach far more people, with far more impact, than we ever could alone.” The Android app will no longer be available for download. Existing users and subscribers will continue until July 1, 2020 and all current subscribers on android platform will get a refund.
There aren’t any changes coming to Dark Sky for iOS yet and you can still buy for $3.99 in Appstore. They will no longer accept new signups to their API but it will continue to function through the end of 2021. You can view weather forecasts, maps, and embeds on Dark Sky’s website until July 1st.
