AnTuTu releases December 2023 top-performing Android, iOS devices

AnTuTu, a benchmarking platform, recently revealed its ranking for best-performing Android and iOS devices globally for December 2023. Check them out!

Top-Performing Android Flagships

In the flagship segment, the iQOO 12, powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, topped the ranking with an average score of 2,086,638. It was followed by Xiaomi’s Mi 13 with 1,559,604 and Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra with 1,551,689 placed third.

Completing the list are the Samsung Galaxy S23+ (1,551,358), nubia Z50 (1,542,570), Samsung Galaxy S23 (1,518,165), Xiaomi Mi 13T Pro (1,507,811), OnePlus 11 (1,473,552), HONOR Magic5 (1,373,930), and finally the POCO F5 Pro (1,314,761).

As the first one to offer the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the iQOO had the advantage over the other devices. To recap, the chip is built on a 4nm process and comes with 1 Cortex-X4 prime core running at 3.3 GHz, five performance cores with 3.2 GHz, and 2 efficiency cores with speeds up to 2.3 GHz.

We expect to see the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor dominate this year’s ranking.

Top-Performing Android Sub-Flagships

Moving to the sub-flagship segment, the best-performing smartphone in the same period is the realme GT Neo5 SE with an average score of 1,184,497, followed by the POCO F5 with 1,131,237, and the Redmi Note 12 Turbo with 1,128,470. The three of them are equipped with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset.

The list also includes the iQOO Neo7, Mi 13T, realme GT Neo3, Redmi K50i, Mi 12T, POCO X4 GT, and the Motorola Edge 40.

The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 dominated the sub-flagship list with over a million average scores.

Top-Performing iOS Devices

Lastly, the top-performing iOS devices in the same period. Topping the list with an average score of 2,232,338 is the iPad Pro 12.9″ (6th gen) powered by the M2 chip. It is followed by the iPad Pro 11″ (4th gen) with an average score of 2,058,240 and the iPad Pro 12.9″ (5th gen) with 1,848,493.

Completing the list are the iPad Pro 11″ (3rd gen), iPad Air 5th gen, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the iPhone 15 Plus.

Apple’s top-end iPhone 15 Pro Max placed in the seventh spot with an average score of 1,546,274, even though it is equipped with the latest Apple Bionic A17 Pro chipset.

The iPhone 15 Pro even got a higher average score of 1,558,415 with the same chip.

This is to be expected since the Apple M-series processors are naturally more powerful as they are being used in Apple MacBooks.

AnTuTu states that rather than representing each device’s peak scores, the figures above represent its average scores.

The data is based on AnTuTu V10 ranking results and covers the period from December 1st to December 31st, 2023.
