Nokia 5.1 Successor Could Feature A Big Camera Upgrade
HMD Global has already sent out press invites for its upcoming potential release of new entry-level smartphones in 2020. But if you’re interested in its mid-range phone, you might have to wait until March 4. At least, that’s what @evleaks posted on Twitter. According to him, the device with a moniker “Nokia Captain America” could be the Nokia 5.2 device. It’s said to sport 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with a $180 (~P9,100) price tag. The design seems to be of glass material in a matte finish, however, it’s still prone to fingerprint smudges. There’s a rear-capacitive fingerprint scanner with four cameras in a round, humpy module.
No specs were included but to compare, Nokia 5.1 came with FHD+ IPS LCD, Helio P18 octa-core chipset, 16MP main camera, 8MP selfie camera, and 2970mAh battery. It was launched nearly two years ago (May 2018). The images look skeptical to us given the rough edits and the camera hump is more like a prototype rather than a final version. That said, take this leak with a skepticism.
