
ZTE has launched three of its newest mid-range 5G smartphones. These units will be in the new 30 series of the company which packs cool new features for gamers, photographers, or casual phone enthusiasts.
The ZTE S30 Pro, S30, and S30 SE have similarities in some areas and differences as well. One key similarity is its display which measures 6.67-inches however the Pro features an AMOLED screen that includes a 144Hz refresh rate along with a 380Hz touch sampling rate and also an HDR10+. This is perfect for any gamers. While the vanilla version and the S30 SE variant share an IPS LCD screen, the vanilla unit features a 90Hz refresh rate.
Taxing activities would surely drain the S30 Pro and good thing it comes with a 4,200mAH capacity that is supported by a 55W fast charging. The S30 will come with a 4,000mAh battery capacity along with a 30W charging while the S30 SE comes with a 6,000mAh capacity and with a smaller 18W fast charging support.
All units will be using an Android 11-based MyOS 11 but will be supported with different chipsets. The S30 Pro will have a Snapdragon 768 5G chipset which supports 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage that shares its SIM slot as a microSD slot. The vanilla version will be using a Snapdragon 720G processor and coupled with 8GB RAM along with 128/256GB internal storage. Meanwhile, the S30 SE will use a Dimensity 700 5G processor, and along with it is 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
As for cameras, both the S30 Pro and S30 shares similar features, especially with the rear cams. Both phones have four rear cameras and one frontal camera. The main camera features a 64MP wide shooter, an 8MP ultrawide cam, and two 2MP sensors for macro and depth. However, the two units differ in their selfie cams. The S30 Pro is equipped with a 44MP camera while the vanilla variant uses a 16MP shooter. As for the S30 SE, this unit is equipped with three rear cams and one selfie shooter. It features q 48MP main, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP lens, and along with it an 8MO selfie camera.
The ZTE S30 Pro will only come with one configuration and it will be priced at CNY 3,000 (PHP22,140 est.). The ZTE S30 will come with an 8GB + 128GB version which will be priced at CNY 2,200 (PHP16,240 est.). There will be an additional CNY 200 (PHP1,480 est.) if desired to have larger storage. Lastly, the XTE S30 SE will have a price tag of CNY 1,700 (PHP12,550 est.) for its one and only storage configuration, 6GB + 1`128GB. These smartphones have already launched on April 3, 2021, in China while international retailers are waiting for announcements for the smartphones’ availability.
