Motorola has officially announced its Moto G100. This will be the company’s mid-range 5G smartphone in the market. This will be the global version of the Motorola Edge S that was first unveiled in China this year.
The Moto G100 will feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. For its front camera, it has 16 MP and 8 MP 100° ultrawide cameras that are placed in a punch hole. The Snapdragon 870 SoC will be powering the smartphone coupled with 8GB RAM, for global markets, or 12GB RAM, in Brazil only. The smartphone will run on Android 11 OS and has a 5G SA/NSA support with a Snapdragon X55 Modem.
For its rear cameras, the G100 will feature a 64 MP main camera, 16 MP 121° ultrawide which is capable to capture 2.8cm macro pictures, 2 MP depth sensors, and a ToF sensor. A 5,000 mAh capacity with 20W turbocharging and features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner housed by the power button.
Motorola is also introducing Ready For Dock. This would allow the user to place the smartphone in portrait or landscape mode. It has a flexible hinge design and a fan placed inside to keep your phone cool. This makes your workplace clutter-free and at the same time it saves up space.
We can also experience soon the benefits and additional features the company would be adding such as wireless access from a PC. There are also projects to pair it with the Lenovo ThinkReality A3 AR glasses that give access to a desktop for video, gaming, and entertainment. This would be done through augmented reality while the Moto G100 is connected to monitors, keyboards, and Lenovo’s AR glasses. The Ready For dock can connect with Moto G100 and Motorola Edge+.

The Moto G100 is available in Iridescent Ocean and Iridescent Sky colors. The mid-range phone will be priced at €499.99 (PHP 28,600 est.) and would be available first in Europe, UK, and Latin America. This will include the Ready For Dock feature and a connector cable. No details were given for international stores.
