Four months after launching the Galaxy A71 4G, Samsung is following it up with the introduction of Galaxy A71 5G. Most of the specs and features are the same except for the build and chipset. More on that later. The price of the new 5G model is $599.99(~P30K). We’re not sure when it’ll become available but it’s said to go on sale first in North America.
Coming in black, silver, and blue colors, the Galaxy A71 5G now has a two-tone pattern on the back. Unfortunately, it’s still the same glasstic material that Samsung loves to use for its Galaxy A-series. You still get the same camera setup — 64MP + 12MP ultrawide + 5MP macro + 5MP depth and 32MP selfie. The same goes for the 4500mAh battery with 25W fast adaptive charging. But apparently, the change from Snapdragon 730 to Exynos 980 made the device thicker at 8.1mm and a bit heavier at 185g. And due to the more updated SoC, performance is significantly better or neck-and-neck against Snapdragon 765G.
Even with the Exynos 980, you might say that the new Galaxy A71 is still expensive. Sporting the same chipset, the Galaxy A51 5G was also launched with a $499.99(~P25K) price tag.
