Google have finally released a thing or two about their long-acclaimed Project Ara modular smartphone. The handset is set to go out for developers on sometime in July while the phone itself is expected to go live next year. Let’s take a quick look at what Project Ara exactly is.

Project Ara is Google’s modular swappable smartphone via these brick-looking parts of the smartphone, which switches out various functions and features. Some people in Google HQ have already been using the device, to survey its effectiveness and efficiency.
Companies from various life and industries are said to already working on various modules for the Ara smartphone. A few like Panasonic, TDK, iHealth, E ink, Toshiba, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Samsung, which are all, in fact, leaders of their own respective industries.
The Ara smartphone will have a maximum of six swappable modules, with the removal method being controlled via software, which means you can even give Ok! Google a command to remove eject the module.
