Several roads, avenues, and streets in Manila do not allow parking due to Executive Order 15 of 2022.
“Ease foot traffic and vehicle traffic” within the city is the goal of the EO, and citizens should be able to “pass safely through the city.” As a result of the Task Force Against Road Obstructions’ (TFARO’s) findings, priority roads, boulevards, streets, and alleys were identified for clearing.

A bill filed by Marinduque Rep. Lord Allan Jay Velasco requires parking spaces for motor vehicles to be registered in metropolitan areas. According to Allan Jay Velasco, parking on public thoroughfares worsens street congestion on highways.
Parking space will be required for motor vehicle registration in metropolitan areas if the bill passes the law. Otherwise, buyers will not be able to register their vehicles with LTO if the condition is not met.
