Another way of online shopping has arrived in the Philippines. Yes, you read that right. YouTube Shopping has officially launched in the country.
In partnership with Shopee, this update includes the YouTube Shopping Accelerator and the Affiliate Program.
Now, eligible creators can promote and sell products directly through their YouTube content, whether in videos, Shorts, or live streams.
And just like the usual online shopping apps, YouTube viewers can browse and buy items on a creator’s product listings linked to online shopping platforms.
However, a creator must be part of the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) and have at least 10,000 subscribers or be listed as an Official Artist Channel to be part of this new feature.
How to Join YouTube Shopping Affiliate Program?
Qualified creators can open their YouTube Account, head to YouTube Studio, tap on the Earn tab, click Get Started, choose Turn On, then accept the Affiliate Program Terms of Service.

After this, creators can begin tagging products from available sellers.
For videos and YouTube Shorts creators can tag up to 60 products. Meanwhile, up to 30 products can be tagged in live streams, and creators can also pin the products. Aside from that, they can connect their online store and organize product displays.
Creators can check the revenue details through YouTube Analytics. Have you checked if you’re eligible as a YouTube Shopping Affiliate?
