Xiaomi has officially unveiled two new tablets under the Pad 9 series, the Xiaomi Pad 9 and Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro.
Both tablets sport a 3.2K LCD panel (3200 x 2136) with a 3:2 aspect ratio, a 144Hz refresh rate, and 12-bit color depth with DCI-P3 coverage, HDR10, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision support. They also support eye-comfort certifications like flicker-free, low-blue-light hardware, and circadian-friendly, as well as wet-touch support that keeps the screen responsive when wet.
The base model features an 11.2-inch display with an 800-nit peak brightness, while the Pad 9 Pro steps up to a larger 12.5-inch panel capable of reaching 1,000 nits.
In terms of performance, the Pad 9 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 octa-core processor with Adreno 829 GPU, while the Pad 9 comes with the sub-flagship Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset with an Adreno 825 GPU.
While both tablets start at an 8GB/128GB base model, the Pad 9 Pro caps out at 16GB/256GB (UFS 4.1) compared to the standard Pad 9’s 12GB/256GB ceiling.
The Pad 9 Pro packs an 11,000mAh battery with 67W wired charging, while the Pad 9 gets a smaller 9,720mAh battery with 45W charging support. They also support 22.5W reverse wired charging.
Camera-wise, the Pad 9 Pro is equipped with a 50MP main rear camera and a 32MP selfie shooter, while the Pad 9 comes with a 50MP rear sensor and a 13MP front camera.
Both tablets run Android 17-based HyperOS 4.0 and feature stereo speakers with optional stylus and keyboard support. Connectivity options across both models include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and USB-C 3.2 Gen 1.
Physical dimensions also set the two apart. The Pad 9 measures 251.2 × 173.42 × 5.75mm (5.8mm for the soft-light edition) and weighs between 485g and 494g, available in Green, Pink, Gray, and Black. The larger Pad 9 Pro measures 279.14 × 191.96 × 5.8mm (5.85mm for the soft-light edition) with a weight of 580g to 589g, available in Green, Gray, and Black finishes.
