Xiaomi continues to surpass its competitors as the latest report shows that it managed to overtake Apple as the world’s number 2 smartphone vendor in terms of shipment.
The Chinese-giant is just a couple of percent below Samsung with 19% share compared to Xiaomi’s 17%. This represents 83% growth for the brand compared a year ago.
The Mi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 series undoubtedly helped the brand positioned at the 2nd place and will continue to do so as more models are being launched to different regions.
Xiaomi may solidify its position and possibly overtake Samsung as long as it produces more value-for-the-money smartphones. But they are also prone to be replaced by Apple and other brands if they will not continue to innovate.
