POCO has just launched the latest addition to its F series, the POCO F7 Ultra.
This marks the first time an “Ultra” variant has been introduced in the F lineup, and there’s a good reason for it.
Apart from its top-of-the-line chipset, what else does this phone bring to the table? Can it stand out in the highly competitive flagship market? Let’s find out!
Starting with the design, the POCO F7 Ultra features a quad-curved glass back that feels soft to the touch.
It sports a dual-texture finish, with a glossy top and a matte-like bottom, creating a unique visual appeal.
The camera module is off-centered, giving the device a distinct look compared to most flagship smartphones.
However, with a weight of 212g and a thickness of 8.4mm, the phone is on the heavier side. If used without a case, the soft texture might make it a bit slippery, but the sturdy metal frame ensures a solid grip.
The volume rockers and power button are positioned on the right side, while the speaker grille, USB-C port, microphone, and SIM tray are located at the bottom.
Overall, the POCO F7 Ultra delivers a sleek and premium design.
Flipping it over, the 6.67-inch QHD+ OLED display takes center stage, boasting a 1440×3200 resolution.
It supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals and vibrant colors.
Outdoor visibility won’t be an issue, thanks to its 3200-nit peak brightness. Whether you’re binge-watching Netflix or scrolling through YouTube, the thin bezels and high-resolution panels make for an immersive viewing experience.
For photography, the POCO F7 Ultra is equipped with a triple-camera setup of 50MP main sensor with OIS, 50MP telephoto lens with OIS, and 32MP ultrawide sensor. On the front, the 20MP selfie camera is housed in a punch-hole cutout.
In well-lit conditions, the main camera captures sharp and detailed images with natural color reproduction and well-balanced highlights.

Indoor shots maintain a deep black contrast while keeping a decent level of sharpness. However, image consistency may vary depending on natural light.
Low-light photography is enhanced with improved brightness and reduced flare, but darker areas tend to lose some detail.

Under the hood, the POCO F7 Ultra is powered by the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
Performance is incredibly smooth, handling multitasking and heavy applications without any noticeable slowdowns.
For gaming, we tested Zenless Zone Zero on max settings, and the experience was flawless—no frame drops or stutters.
Heat management was also impressive, keeping the device cool even after extended gameplay.
