Xiaomi is set to release the Mix Flip 2, its second flip-style foldable phone, earlier than expected.
A leak from Digital Chat Station suggests the device will launch in the first half of 2025. The positive reception of the first-generation Mix Flip has reportedly prompted a significant upgrade for the new model.
The Mix Flip 2 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
The new model will include wireless charging, a feature missing in the original, and an IPX8 rating for water resistance, unlike the first-gen model. It will also be thinner and more versatile.
Although specific details are still scarce, it’s expected that the Mix Flip 2 will have a larger battery, possibly around 5,000mAh.
For reference here’s a quick specs list for the Xiaomi Mix Flip released last September.
The Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 is also rumored to be available in both China and global markets. The global variant has already been approved by the EEC authority. Are you excited?
