It was only a week ago when Xiaomi announced the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 for the global market which is essentially the Mi AirDots Pro 2. However, that model already launched last year. For 2020, Xiaomi is bringing the Mi AirDots Pro 2s with a bigger battery and wireless charging capability for CNY 399(~P2,800). Available in white color, the new TWS will go on sale in China on April 9 via the company’s website. As for the rest of the features, here’s what you need to know.
From 14 hours, the new case now provides up to 24 hours of music playback. Additionally, the earbuds themselves now offer an hour more playtime for a total of five hours. Xiaomi is also touting the improved latency of its Bluetooth 5.0 chip for a more stable connection, however, the company did not mention if it’s enough for competitive gaming. Charging via USB-C is still present on the Mi AirDots Pro 2s, but if you have an existing Qi-charger at home, you’ll be able to charge the TWS wireless. Through USB-C, the case can go from zero to 100 in an hour.
Mi AirDots Pro 2s is gearing up to be another budget TWS, especially for those who’re looking for wireless charging capability. If you want to know more about its functionalities, just read our Mi AirDots Pro 2 coverage.
