Xiaomi has been improving their smartphone devices as time passes by. During the last quarter of 2019 until the third quarter of 2020, Xiaomi has invested up to $1.3 billion in their R&D department. Before, it would take their 2,143 camera tests for 3 to 4 days. Now, with the tests being done automated, it now takes one day.
The camera and software of the brand have also improved. For example, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro ranked first place for 48 days in the DxOMark camera. Also, the Mi 10 Ultra was number one for two and a half months straight. One benchmark Xiaomi has made is with its audio especially with the Mi 10 Pro being the best phone in the DxO Audio tests for most of 2020. The brand also has improved in their display and when it comes to the phone’s stability.
On the other hand, Redmi, one of Xiaomi’s branch, did well in sales. For instance, the Redmi Note series has been shipped with over 200 million units worldwide. In comparison with November 2019, this is 140 million units while it was 100 million last October 2019. With the launch of the Redmi Note 10 series, there would be an upsurge of sales and shipments that would top their previous records. We can also expect in the Redmi Note series lineup that there would be at least two 5G smartphones.
