Xiaomi Integrates Google Photos Into MIUI Gallery

Xiaomi revealed last week that it would stop supporting the MIUI Gallery syncing functionality with Xiaomi Cloud. The business also revealed that starting in 2023, customers would be able to move their media to Google Photos.

A few days later, the smartphone manufacturer announces that starting the following week, Google Photos will be integrated with MIUI Gallery.

to Xiaomi, MIUI Gallery will soon have Google Photos backup capability. A fresh iteration of the application will see the integration go live.

The Xiaomi GetApps app store will be used to distribute the update. On October 24, it will be made available for the first time in Singapore.

Current Xiaomi Cloud users will be able to move their content to Google Photos. Additionally, a free 3-month Google One membership will be made available to them (100GB).

Xiaomi Cloud’s family plan is only available in China, and its free storage is only 5GB. Google, however, offers 15GB of free storage. Additionally, users can add up to 5 family members and enhance storage with a Google One membership.

As previously reported, 2023 was the initial release date given by Xiaomi for the integration of Google Photos with MIUI Gallery. As a result, we think it will take months to reach all markets.
