Xiaomi has started rolling out the Xiaomi HyperOS 4 beta to select smartphones and tablets in China.
HyperOS 4 introduces a redesigned interface and new AI features through Super XiaoAi 2.0. The update also adds more customization options for the lock screen, notifications, folders, widgets, and floating app windows.
The company also reports faster camera launch and HDR photo processing, along with lower average frame drops during video playback and scrolling.

Super XiaoAi 2.0 is another major addition. It can handle longer tasks in the background, recognize objects and information on the screen, and perform actions such as finding products, adding events to the calendar, navigating to locations, and editing photos.
Expert Mode also supports more complex tasks, including research, PPT creation, webpage generation, smart home controls, and scheduled actions.
Xiaomi is also adding new privacy controls, including confirmation prompts before modifying, deleting, or sharing data, as well as tools to manage and clear AI memories.

Xiaomi notes that the supported devices and rollout schedule may still be adjusted. The beta rollout is currently listed for devices in China.
