China’s Xiaomi 12S Ultra smartphone was launched recently as the latest model under the Xiaomi 12 lineup. It is worth mentioning that Leica and Xiaomi collaborated for this recent model.
Since its launch in the Chinese market, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra has been available for purchase, but its global availability has now been clarified by Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s CEO.
It has been confirmed by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun that the Xiaomi 12S Ultra will only be sold in China and not be available elsewhere. According to him, the next-generation models will be sold worldwide beginning next year.
With its 6.73-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra boasts a 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1500nits of peak brightness, and 521ppi pixel density. Up to 12GB RAM and 512GB, UFS 3.1 storage are offered with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
An ultra-wide-angle lens with 48 megapixels, a telephoto lens with 48 megapixels, and a 50 megapixel primary sensor comprise the triple-camera setup. The Summicron lens system on the back adds to the camera’s appeal. It has a 32megapixel camera on the front for taking selfies and making video calls.
Android 12 is the default operating system for the phone, and MIUI 13 custom interface is layered over it. Powered by a 4,860mAh 4-cell battery that supports wired fast charging at 67W, wireless fast charging at 50W, and reverse charging at 10W.
