Waze has introduced several new features to its app.
One of the additions is Motorcycle Mode, which is now rolling out in the Philippines on both Android and iOS. The feature is designed for motorcycle riders by providing routes that consider two-wheeler access, road restrictions, and riding conditions. It also highlights road hazards such as potholes, speed bumps, narrow bridges, raised crosswalks, and shoulder endings.
Waze has also launched Personalized Navigation worldwide. The feature suggests routes based on a user’s previous driving habits, alongside real-time traffic conditions. Users who prefer standard routing can choose alternative routes or disable personalization in the app’s settings.
Another new option is Less Chatty Mode, which reduces the number of voice guidance prompts. Drivers will still receive important navigation instructions and hazard alerts, but with fewer interruptions. The feature is now available globally on Android and iOS.
The app is also expanding its Gemini-powered Conversational Reporting feature. In addition to reporting traffic incidents using natural speech, users can now report map issues such as road closures or outdated addresses by speaking naturally. These reports are sent to local map editors for review before any changes are made.
The new features are rolling out in phases on Android and iOS in the Philippines.
