Apple has released the fourth developer beta of iOS 27 for eligible iPhones enrolled in the Apple Developer Program.
One of the biggest changes in iOS 27 is the upgraded Siri, powered by Apple Intelligence. Apple says Siri now offers more natural conversations, better understanding of personal context, improved knowledge, on-screen awareness, and deeper integration with supported apps.
iOS 27 also introduces a redesigned Siri interface that works with the Dynamic Island, a new Siri app for viewing past conversations, and expanded Visual Intelligence features, including a Siri mode in the Camera app.

Beyond Siri, Apple has added AI-powered features to apps such as Photos, Safari, Mail, Messages, Phone, Passwords, Home, and Shortcuts. Some features run on the device, while others use Apple’s Private Cloud Compute.
The update also brings improvements to the Liquid Glass design, better performance, enhanced Photos tools, smoother Camera performance, continuous message sending, Dual Capture in FaceTime, custom AirPods EQ, new recovery options, easier Apple Pay card switching, and AI-generated wallpapers.
Not all AI features will be available on every supported iPhone. Although iOS 27 supports the iPhone 11 series and newer, as well as the second-generation iPhone SE and later, Apple Intelligence features require compatible devices. Some advanced AI features are exclusive to newer models, including the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air.

As with any developer beta, users may still experience bugs, app compatibility issues, and shorter battery life.
Developers can install the update by going to Settings > General > Software Update > Beta Updates and selecting the iOS 27 Developer Beta. The latest build carries the version number 23G71.
