When vivo announced the x60 Series for the European market, they also introduced a pair of budget phones, namely vivo Y52 5G and Y72 5G. Between the two, the Y52 5G is the newer model that we never knew existed until now.
vivo Y52 5G caters to the budget 5G smartphone market as indicated by its Dimensity 700 chipset carrying dual-5G capability. It’s paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, with FunTouch 11 based on Android 11 as its operating system. The 6.58″ FHD+ IPS LCD appears to support a 60Hz refresh rate only, and the cameras on the back don’t include an ultrawide lens in favor of a 48MP+2MP+2MP setup. The front houses an 8MP selfie camera. As for the 5000mAh battery, it supports 18W fast charging.
vivo Y52 5G’s availability date and price have yet to be known, unfortunately. But judging by the overall package, the upcoming smartphone reminds us of POCO M3 Pro 5G with similar offerings.
