
After leaks and teasers, vivo has officially announced its first-ever foldable smartphone in China, the vivo X Fold.
The vivo X Fold boasts a 6.53-inch AMOLED outer display, an 8.03-inch LTPO2 AMOLED E5 folding inner screen, a 1-120Hz refresh rate, ultrasonic In-Display fingerprint reader, and a DisplayMate A+ recommendation. Its display is protected by SCHOTT UTG (ultra-thin glass).
Inside, it is powered by the 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset along with 12GB enhanced LPDDR5 RAM, up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, and Memory Fusion 2.0 tech. There’s also a 4,600mAh battery with 66W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and a 10W reverse wireless charging support.
Camera-wise, the vivo X Fold sports ZEISS branding with ZEISS modes like Texture Portrait, Motion Capture 3.0, ZEISS Super Night Scene, ZEISS Nature Color, and more. On the back, it comes with a 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, a 47mm zoom lens, and a 5x periscope zoom camera. Upfront is a 16MP selfie snapper.
Moreover, the device can run two apps side by side, run floating windows, and a camera viewfinder allowing its users to take long exposure shots or time-lapse videos when the phone is placed on a flat surface. Check out the full specs below.

The vivo X Fold is priced starting at CNY 8,999 (~PHP 73,558) and will be initially available to the Chinese market. There’s no word yet for availability in other regions, so stay tuned for more updates.
