vivo V80 Lite 5G vs. vivo V60 Lite 5G Specs Comparison

After launching the vivo V70 FE in the Philippines half a year ago, vivo is back with a new device in its V series, the vivo V80 Lite 5G.

Looking back, this is the first Lite model in the V series since the vivo V60 Lite 5G, which was launched in October last year.

While the V80 Lite and V60 Lite offer different combinations of display, performance, cameras, battery capacity, and pricing, both are part of vivo’s Lite lineup.

But what are their specific differences? Here’s our specs-based comparison of the two devices.

Design and Build

The vivo V60 Lite 5G is the lighter and slimmer of the two. It measures 7.59mm thick and weighs 194 grams, while the V80 Lite is 8.59mm thick and weighs 224 grams. The V60 Lite has an IP65 rating, while the V80 Lite has higher IP68/IP69 protection.

The V60 Lite comes in Blue, Pink, and Black, while the V80 Lite is available in Afterglow Pink, Emerald Green, and Dawn Black.

Display

The V80 Lite has the larger and higher-resolution display. It features a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a 2800 × 1260 resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 2,000 nits HBM brightness.

The V60 Lite has a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 2392 × 1080 resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate. Its local peak brightness is listed at 3,000 nits.

Camera

Both phones have a 32MP front camera and a 50MP main rear camera. The V60 Lite also includes an 8MP wide-angle camera, while the V80 Lite uses a 2MP secondary rear camera.

For the main camera, the V60 Lite uses a 50MP Sony sensor with autofocus, while the V80 Lite also has a 50MP main camera. The V60 Lite therefore offers a wider-angle rear camera option that is not listed on the V80 Lite.

Chipset, Storage, Software

The V60 Lite 5G has the newer MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo, paired with 8GB + 256GB or 12GB + 512GB storage. It runs Android 15 with Funtouch OS 15.

The V80 Lite uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e, with the Philippine variants listed at 6GB + 128GB and 6GB + 256GB. It runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6.

This gives the V60 Lite more RAM and storage at both listed configurations, while the V80 Lite has the newer Android version and OriginOS software.

Battery and Charging

The V80 Lite has a much larger 10,000mAh battery, compared with the V60 Lite’s 6,500mAh capacity. However, the V60 Lite supports faster 90W charging, while the V80 Lite supports 44W FlashCharge.

vivo also says the V80 Lite is designed to retain at least 80% battery capacity after 1,400 charging cycles under its laboratory testing conditions.

Price

The vivo V60 Lite 5G starts at PHP 17,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant and goes up to PHP 20,999 for the 12GB + 512GB model.

Meanwhile, the vivo V80 Lite 5G starts at PHP 24,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant and PHP 27,999 for the 6GB + 256GB version.

The V60 Lite starts PHP 7,000 lower than the V80 Lite. Even the V60 Lite 12GB + 512GB variant costs PHP 4,000 less than the V80 Lite 6GB + 128GB.

Verdict

The V60 Lite 5G and V80 Lite 5G focus on different areas. The V60 Lite is lighter, has faster charging, a newer Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset, and offers more RAM and storage for a lower price. It also has an 8MP wide-angle camera.

However, the V80 Lite is larger and heavier, but it brings a 10,000mAh battery, higher IP68/IP69 protection, a higher-resolution 1.5K display, and Android 16 with OriginOS 6.
