
vivo has officially announced that the vivo V40 series smartphones will launch in India on August 7 at 12PM. This lineup includes the V40 and V40 Pro, successors to last year’s V30 and V30 Pro models.
The V40 and V40 Pro feature a pill-shaped camera island with a circular module housing two sensors and an oblong module with an aura LED flash and an additional lens on the Pro model. Both phones will come with ZEISS-branded cameras and a 50MP selfie camera.
The V40 Pro will include a 50MP OIS-enabled main lens, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, while both models will support ZEISS multifocal portrait photography with focal lengths of 24, 35, 50, 85, and 100mm.
The vivo V40 series have a slim profile and are IP68 rated for dust and water resistance, able to withstand submersion up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. vivo claims the devices have passed over 70 rigorous durability tests.
The vivo V40 Pro is set to be the slimmest smartphone in the series, featuring a 5500mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. It will be available in Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey, with the V40 also coming in Lotus Purple.
