vivo recently unveiled its latest mid-range smartphone in India, the vivo S2.
The vivo S2 sports a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with 1260 × 2800 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and 4320Hz PWM dimming.
Powering it inside is the 2.5GHz 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo octa-core processor with Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. It also packs a 7,050mAh battery capacity with 44W fast charging support.
Keeping it cool is a 3,800 mm² vapor chamber cooling system.
Camera-wise, the device is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX582 main camera and a 2MP depth sensor at the back, while the front has a 32MP sensor for selfies. There’s also the Aura Light ring flash for improved lighting and captures.
Connectivity features include WiFi, 5G, 4G LTE, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and BeiDou.
The phone runs on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 with system-level productivity and connectivity tools.
The vivo S2 is priced at INR 39,999 (~PHP 25,505) for the 8GB + 128GB model, while the 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at INR 49,999 (~PHP 31,882). It will go on sale in India starting August 11, though availability in other markets is yet to be announced.
