VAIO First Smartphone: After Sony sold VAIO to Japan Industrial Partners, the brand started to create a name of its own and make it big in the industry of laptops. And now, rumors spread that VAIO is intending to widen its own line of devices by producing smartphones.

Japan Communications has revealed today that it will announce a VAIO smartphone on March 12th.

The newcomer VAIO phone will be dubbed under the model number JCI VA-10J. It will sport a 5-inch 720 screen display, a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front shooter, and will be run with an Android 5.0 Lollipop, with a 64 bit Snapdragon 410 processor on board, a quad core 1.2 GHz.

The initial specs revealed that this will be a single SIM phone, armed with WiFi and Bluetooth, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. Spectators may get a glimpse of the handset at the Mobile World Congress 2015 this coming March 1st.
