Twitter’s Founder vs. Twitter’s CEO: Jack Dorsey Launches Twitter Rival

Jack Dorsey

Jack Dorsey has made a new social media app that will compete with the one he helped start, Twitter.

Bluesky is now in the App Store from Apple. But you need an invite code to use the app. Users can enter their email addresses to get on the waitlist and try out the beta version before it’s available.

Bluesky says that it is different from Twitter because it is open source, meaning no one is in charge.

Dorsey quit as Twitter’s CEO in November 2021. He left Twitter because he thought it was time for the company to move on from its founders.

Parag Agrawal became CEO of Twitter in 2022 when Elon Musk bought the company for $44 billion. Dorsey first agreed with Musk’s plan to take over Twitter.

On the other hand, Dorsey has become more aggressive as of late. Since then, he has made fun of Twitter for going down suddenly.

It must still be too early to tell if Bluesky will be as popular as Twitter since about 450 million people use Twitter every month, according to reports.
